Hi! I'm Gabby Rodriguez

Hi! I'm happy to be back after a seven year break! I've been dreaming of this moment for so long. At times, I wasn't sure I would ever restart my photography business again.

First and foremost, I've been a portrait photographer since 2014. I went to school at Amarillo College where I took classes in photography and digital design. I am passionate about editing. I don't use AI in any of my photographs. I pay attention to detail when editing and I truly enjoy making beautiful photographs.  I am based out of Lubbock, Texas and travel anywhere in the West Texas region to capture memorable photographs  for my clients.

A little bit more about me:

I deleted my photography website and Instagram account sometime in 2019. Life was pulling me in a different direction. In 2017, my husband and I made life changing decisions. We started our homeschooling journey in the fall of 2017, and we moved to Lubbock, Texas two months after we started homeschooling! The move came with alot of sacrifices.

I felt humbled that clients were willing to make the two hour drive to Lubbock from Amarillo so that I could do their portraits, that meant so much to me. But I could no longer run my business and homeschool three kids at the same time. A part of me died when I deleted everything.

I truly believe that everything in life happens for a reason. My family needed me these past seven years. There is no way I could've ran a successful business with all the challenges I had to face. Being a mother has always come first, and now that I am basically "done" raising my kids, or should I say done with the most difficult part, I can now focus on myself and my career.

During my break from portrait photography, I explored other hobbies. I mastered gardening in our difficult , dry, hot, bipolar climate! And I also fell in love with photographing the beautiful landscapes in my native Texas and in my favorite state, New Mexico.

I'm a nature girl! I am my happiest when I'm outside gardening, hiking, exploring, and photographing the beauty of our land. Follow me on instagram to follow my journey @gabbyrodriguezphoto
